Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS)

What is TTPS?

The Hong Kong Top Talent Pass Scheme, also known as the High Talent Pass Scheme, is a talent introduction scheme launched by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, which is mainly aimed at high income earners with rich work experience and high-end talents such as graduates from the world's top universities. The programme aims to attract talented people from around the world to explore opportunities in Hong Kong and contribute to the sustainable development of Hong Kong. Persons who wish to apply for admission to Hong Kong, China under the TCS are not required to have already found employment in Hong Kong, China at the time of application. They are allowed to stay in Hong Kong for 24 months without other conditions of stay as long as they meet the normal immigration requirements.

Application Requirements

Category A application

For high-income earners, applicants are required to have an annual income of HK $2.5 million or above (or equivalent in foreign currency) in the year prior to the date of application. Annual income includes salaries, allowances, stock options and profits from companies, excluding income generated by personal investments. There is no limit to such applications and applicants do not need to have advanced academic qualifications.

Category B application

For bachelor's degree graduates from the world's top 100 universities (185 in total, including 13 mainland universities), applicants are required to accumulate at least three years of work experience in the past five years.

Category C application

Open to applicants with less than three years of work experience and a bachelor's degree from one of the world's top 100 universities in the last five years, these applications are subject to an annual quota and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

1. You can obtain a 2-year visa and apply for a permanent identity card after living in Hong Kong for 7 years;
